I remained at NCHS until 1999, on the teaching side of the desk. After 37 years I "retired," but continue to teach English and music, part-time, at Robinson HS and at Lincoln Trail College. I also retired as head softball coach at NCHS after 25 years. I was inducted into the IHSA Coaches' Hall of Fame. I am a church organist and choir director. My husband died in September of 2001. I have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.

Retirement has kept me quite busy. Our two sons and granddaughter live in the area; we see them often. Jim will retire from his insurance business in a few years. Recently I joined an entertainment group called the Fun Luv'n Grannies. We perform for school groups and retirement homes.
