We have 19 Grandchildren, 4 of which are in the Armed Services, one has been in Iraq for a one year term and he and two of the others will be going to Iraq late this year or early next. Pauline and I both like to dance and attend "music" festivals. I love Motorcycling and spend a lot of time riding around this Great USA. We enjoy our Grandchildren and spend time with them as we are able. One of our Daughters lives in Mesa, Az. and we manage to visit her once or twice a year.. All the rest of the Children live with-in 10 miles of us. Both Pauline and I are basically Healthy although I have had cancer and a Heart Cyst....but I am too onery to give in to those kinds of things so am still going strong 10 years later on the Cancer. We have kept contact with many of our class mates and enjoy visiting them as often as possible. I quit drinking and smoking in 1966 (surprise.... lol) and became a Christian that same year. I currently am the Treasurer of our church as well as a Deacon and Adult Sunday School Teacher... (I am absolute proof that Miracles can happen....LOL) I am basically content with my life, have a few things would like to change of the past.. but smart enough (I Did graduate you know) to know that that is not possible, so try to live the best way possible now....

The following was subsequently added.  Excuse any duplications.
Pauline and I have been happily Married for 47 years, we have 5 children and 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. We are both active in the First Baptist Church in Newton where I am a Deacon (Ain't that amazing), Adult Sunday School Teacher and the Treasurer. Pauline is the Church Secretary. Before moving back to Newton, Pauline was lucky enough to be able to be a Stay at Home Mom and our children benefited greatly from that. When we came back to Newton in 1976, she did go back to work and has been working for the same business (lawyer) for twenty-eight years. I am now retired, but she is still working 3 days a week. Our time is not spent in various activities.. We love to attend Bluegrass and Southern Gospel Festivals, we spend time with our grandchildren and I (at least) spend as much time as possible riding my GoldWing. We have 4 Grand sons in the service. One in the Air Force, One in the Army (already has 13mo's in Iraq and will be going back in August 2005, and two in the Marines, still in training, but expected to go to Iraq in March or April of 2--6... We are involved in a "Senior" group whose aim is to find and help those in need in the community. I still love to read, although bad eyes and a tendency to fall asleep have slowed that down somewhat.. HAHA...... Since Retirement, I have been doing some things around the house that I had ignored for way too long.
